Bilastine should be taken on an empty stomach, ideally one hour before or two hours after food or fruit juice, as these can reduce its absorption and overall effectiveness.
Follow your doctor’s prescribed dose and schedule for the best results.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water—do not crush, chew, or break it.

✔️ Allergic Rhinitis:

A common allergic condition characterized by inflammation of the nasal passages triggered by allergens such as pollen, dust mites, mold, or pet dander. Symptoms include sneezing, nasal congestion, and a runny nose.

✔️ Allergy:

An allergic reaction occurs when the immune system responds to normally harmless substances known as allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, food, or animal dander). Symptoms may vary from mild (sneezing, itching) to severe (swelling, breathing difficulties).

Although generally well tolerated, some people may experience:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Abdominal discomfort

• Sore throat

✔️ Interaction

Drug–Drug Interactions: Bilastine may interact with antifungal agents (e.g., Ketoconazole), antibiotics (e.g., Erythromycin, Rifampicin), immunosuppressants (Cyclosporine), and antiviral drugs used for HIV (Ritonavir).

Drug–Food Interaction: Avoid grapefruit juice, as it can reduce the effectiveness of Bilastine.

Drug–Disease Interaction: Use caution if you have kidney or liver impairment, urinary tract obstruction, enlarged prostate, asthma, or gastric ulcers.

✔️ Warnings and Precautions

• Avoid Bilastine if you are allergic to any of its components.
• Inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or kidney disorders, stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal problems, prostate enlargement, or urinary retention.
• Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
• Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may increase drowsiness or dizziness.
• Bilastine may cause sleepiness in some individuals—do not drive or operate machinery if affected.
• Always inform your doctor about any other medications or existing health conditions before starting Bilastine.
